Description
Pistol and holster for steampunk.
I bought the pistol at a Halloween store (it's metal) and removed the plastic handle. I then traced the old handle and made a new one from 2 layers of 3/8" balsa for the core, then added some thinner wood sheet to finish it. I stained it with a stain pen. The blade is made from plexiglass and is super-glued on. I painted the super glue to make it look like a weld mark.
The holster is leather, though it should still probably be dipped in water to harden it a bit. Large eyelets and some quick links secure it to a belt (for now) and I used some blue copper wiring to sew it together.
Materials:
Metal cap gun
plexiglass
super glue
Balsa and composite wood
leather
copper wire
quick links
eyelets
